Welcome to North Bundaberg After School Care where we all learn through play and leisure

Management of the Service:

The Bundaberg North State School Parents and Citizens Association are the Approved Provider, of the North Bundaberg After School Care Program and works closely with the Nominated Supervisor/Coordinator in managing and the running of the day-to-day operations of the service.

About Us:

The North Bundaberg After School Care operates under the National Quality Standards and the Learning Framework, My Time Our Place for school aged care. As such, long standing qualified Educators, offer a wide range of meaningful play and leisure time activities based on the interests and needs of the children who attend.  The service aims to provide an environment which is inclusive, caring, safe, secure, healthy, and is stimulating.

All families from within our school community and the wider community are welcome at the North Bundaberg After School Care program. Our program has been designed to provide a well supervised and balanced environment where your child can enjoy activities structured to suit their individual needs and interests.

The sessions which the service has are the following:  

Before school care; After school care; Vacation care and pupil free days


Session Hours:

  • BSC: 6.30am to 8.30am (2hr session)
  • ASC: 3.00pm to 6.00pm (3hr session)
  • VC: 6.30am to 6.00pm (11.5hr session)
  • PFDAY: 6.30am to 6.00pm. (11.5hr session)


Cost of attending:

  • BSC: $25.00
  • ASC: $30.00
  • VC & PFDAY: $60.00 with additional costs on excursion days.


We also offer Government subsidies:

Have you applied for Childcare subsidy (CCS)?

  • Please make sure that you have applied for your CCS entitlements from the Government before you enrol your child/children

CCS is:

  • CCS aims to assist families with the cost of childcare.

The amount of CCS which an individual is entitled to is dependent upon:

  • the individual's and their partner's, if they have one, combined annual income
  • the activity level of the individual and their partner, if they have one, and
  • the type of approved childcare service used, and whether the child attends school
